SEOUL, June 22 (Yonhap) -- Seohyun, a member of Girls' Generation and actress, volunteered at an animal shelter ahead of her birthday, her agency Management Kkum said Monday.

 

Seohyun visited the Pyeonggang Princess Animal Shelter in Anseong, about 65 kilometers south of Seoul, on Sunday, where she helped clean kennels and walked rescued dogs.

 

Fifty of her fans, selected through a lottery, joined the volunteer activity. Seohyun also donated 5,000 packs of meals and treats for the rescued dogs.

 

"On the occasion of my birthday, I was able to share warmth with these precious lives alongside my most cherished fans," Seohyun said. "It was a meaningful gift that I will never forget."

 

Seohyun is set to star in the upcoming film "Finding the King," which is scheduled for release in the second half of this year.
