SEOUL, March 25 (Yonhap) -- Lotte Department Store said Wednesday it will hold its annual “Spring Sale” event at all of its stores nationwide for 10 days from March 27 to April 5, kicking off the spring shopping season.
Despite forecasts of warmer-than-usual weather this year, the period to fully enjoy mild spring conditions is expected to be shorter due to abnormal climate patterns, likely boosting demand for outdoor activities and weekend outings.
In line with this trend, the retailer plans to offer a range of promotional events alongside the sale, including “Gourmet Week,” “Wine Week,” wedding fairs and pop-up stores.
The “Spring Sale” is the first regular seasonal discount event of the year, featuring around 360 brands, including new 2026 spring/summer collections. Fashion items will be offered at discounts of up to 50 percent, while seasonal accessories such as hats, scarves and jewelry will be available at up to 30 percent off. Lifestyle products, including interior décor and kitchenware, will also be featured.
Customers paying with Lotte Card during the event will receive gift certificates worth about 5 percent of their purchases.
During the same period, the company will also host “Lotte Gourmet Week” targeting spring dining demand. Deli and bakery stores at nine outlets located near major urban parks — including its main branch and stores in Jamsil, Konkuk University Station, Jungdong, Guri, Dongnae, Ulsan, Jeonju and Changwon — will offer picnic sets priced between 10,000 won and 20,000 won.
From Friday to Sunday each week, the retailer’s mobile app will provide first-come, first-served 5,000-won discount coupons for purchases of 20,000 won or more using its L.Pay service.
In addition, a “Wine Week” promotion will offer popular alcoholic beverages suitable for picnics at discounts of up to 80 percent.
A variety of pop-up stores will also be introduced to enhance the spring atmosphere. At Lotte World Mall, a pop-up store marking the domestic launch of Van Cleef & Arpels Perfume will run from March 26 to April 12, featuring the limited high-end “Les Classiques Collection.”
From March 31 to April 30, a pop-up store for men’s business casual brand Pottery will be held on the basement level. In addition, a new men’s brand, Taildawn by Hago House, will open its first retail outlet at the Jamsil store on April 2.
To mark the spring season, a wedding fair for couples preparing for marriage will also be held across all stores from April 3 to 12. The event will feature double mileage benefits under the retailer’s wedding membership program.
A total of 133 brands will participate, including luxury brand Montblanc, as well as premium furniture brands such as Koino, Incasa and Domisil, and fashion brands including Songzio Paris and Le Romant.
The wedding fair will also be held simultaneously at Lotte Mall Dongbusan and Lotte Premium Outlets in Goyang and Gwangmyeong. Customers who spend more than 10 million won during the event will be entered into a draw to win gala dinner tickets at “The Hanok Heritage,” an exclusive benefit for Avenue L members.
“We have focused on offering concentrated discounts for customers preparing for outdoor activities during the shortened spring season, while also strengthening benefits for newlyweds through the wedding fair,” a company official said. “We hope customers will enjoy both shopping and various events at Lotte Department Store this spring.”
