National Hanageul museum stated on Friday that up until January 29, of 2023, Kim Deuksin Literature Museum located in North Chungcheong province will be hosting a special exhibition “Singing the colors of children's hearts.”
“Singing the colors of children's hearts” is a domestic tour version of the exhibition held at the National Hangeul Museum in order to celebrate the 100th anniversary of Children’s day.
Throughout the exhibition 60 of different children’s songs including “Half moon” “Lunar New Year” and more which are written by Yun Geuk-yeong who is considered to be the starting figure of South Korea’s own creative children’s songs up to recently released global sensation “Shark Family” lyrics of the children’s song will be played through graphic visuals throughout the exhibition.
Especially, collective book for the children’s songs published in 1926 includes tracks such as “Half Moon,” and more will be showcased throughout the exhibition.
Exhibition can be segmented into three sections.
Within the first section of the exhibition “Spring Summer Fall Winter” songs which base their lyrics on the nature such as “Spring of Home,” “Green Sea,” and more. Continuing on with the exhibition, throughout the second segment, “Let’s Get Together and Go Around the Neighborhood" visitors will be able to enjoy the slide and other activities audiences enjoyed as kids. Moreover, within the third section of the exhibition “Happy Living” shows how the children’s songs have gradually changed throughout time starting from 1920s to recent years.
Starting with the exhibition in Jeung Pyeong in North Chungcheong province, National Hanageul museum will be hosting the exhibition in Gunsan city in North Jeolla Province and more.
