SEOUL, May 4 (Yonhap) -- K-pop girl group BabyMonster will return Monday with its third mini album "CHOOM," its agency YG Entertainment said.

 

The members said the album, as suggested by its title, reflects their ambition to turn the world into one giant dance floor.

 

The release contains four tracks spanning hip-hop, dance and R&B genres, including the lead track "CHOOM," along with "MOON," "I LIKE IT" and "LOCKED IN."

 

Member Ahyeon said she was eager to meet fans again.

 

"We really wanted to come back and see our fandom, Monstiez, who have been waiting for us," she said through the agency. "I'm especially excited to present an album filled with new charms."

 

Chiquita described the title track as an energetic and addictive song.

 

"If we have shown hip-hop-based music highlighting our strong charisma, this time we prepared a song that everyone can dance to together," she said, adding that the chorus, which begins with a sudden change in beat, is the highlight.

 

Ruka also said the album offers a diverse listening experience, from powerful and hip title tracks to more sensuous slow-tempo songs.

 

BabyMonster will kick off its second world tour, also titled "CHOOM," on June 26-28 at Jamsil Indoor Stadium in Seoul. The tour will span Asia, Oceania, Europe, North America and South America.

 

Parita said the group aims to deliver an even better performance after gaining experience from its first world tour.

 

"There will be stages we have never shown before, so please look forward to it," she added.
