Girl group ITZY records 300 million views for "WANNABE" music video

SEOUL, March 30th (Yonhap) -- K-pop girl group, ITZY's "WANNABE" music video has surpassed 300 million views on YouTube, according to their agency JYP Entertainment.

The music video was released on March last year, exceeding 300 million views a year later and it has the highest number of views among ITZY's music videos.

"WANNABE" is the title track for ITZY's mini second album, "IT'z ME", and promotes the message of showing one's own unique colors without being bound by other people's standards. The members are also seen to break boundaries and enjoy their freedom in the music video.

ITZY is one of the popular rookie girl groups in Korea for their powerful performances, addictive melodies, and confident attitude. .

The girl group debuted with the song, "DALLA DALLA" and has dropped numerous songs including, "ICY", "Not Shy", which has led them to receive over 100 million views for their music videos.

ITZY is scheduled to make a comeback next month on the 30th with a new album, "GUESS WHO". The album will be released at 12:00 a.m. (EST) and at 1:00 p.m. (KST).

In an interview with Forbes, the members of ITZY said, "Our upcoming song contains a series of surprises so we hope our fans are looking forward to our comeback."
