SEOUL, March 31 (Yonhap) -- Netflix announced to have cast actor Yoo Ji-tae and actress Kim Yoon-jin as the leading characters in the reinterpreted Korean version of "Money Heist".
The original Spanish drama, "Money Heist" is a caper story about a criminal mastermind who goes by "The Professor" and plans to print billions of euros in the Royal Mint of Spain.
The setting of the Korean remake will be in Korea and the story is to portray the process of a genius strategist as well as a person with various abilities to take an unprecedented hostage against extraordinary turn of events.
Yoo Ji-tae will play the role of the professor who plans the hostage crisis, while Kim Yoon-jin plays Sun Woo-jin, the head of the crisis negotiation team at the National Police Agency.
In addition, actors and actresses Park Hae-soo, Jeon Jong-seo, Lee Won-jong, Park Myung-hoon, Kim Sung-oh, Kim Ji-hoon, Jang Yoon-ju Lee Joo-bin, Park Jung-woo, and Lee Gyoo-ho are set to appear.
The drama will be directed by Kim Hong-sun who has directed dramas such as "Son the guest", "Voice", "Black", and "L.U.K.A.: The Beginning" while writer Ryu Yong-jae, who wrote the scripts for "My Holo Love" and "Psychopath Diary" will be in charge of writing the character's lines.
The release date has yet to be decided.
