SEOUL, Aug. 25 (Yonhap) -- K-pop girl group IVE is set to release its fourth mini album “IVE Secret” on Monday at 6 p.m., its agency Starship Entertainment said.

 

Starship explained that the album “focuses on the flow of emotions hidden behind glamorous expressions,” adding that “IVE maintains its signature confidence while revealing a contrasting attitude concealed within.”

 

The six-track album includes the title song “XOXZ,” along with “Wild Bird,” “Dear, My Feelings,” “Gotcha,” “Bbibik,” and “Midnight Kiss.”

 

“XOXZ,” a coined term by the group meaning “I love you, sleep well, and see you in my dreams,” features heavy 808 bass, brass sounds and solid drum beats that heighten tension, while low-pitched rap and simple vocals create a dreamy atmosphere. Member Jang Won-young co-wrote the lyrics with lyricist Seo Ji-eum.

 

The accompanying music video depicts an invitation into a dreamlike secret world crafted in one’s own way.
