SEOUL, June 3 (Yonhap) -- NewJeans has donated the entire earnings from their recent university festival performances to the Korea Student Aid Foundation, as announced by their agency, ADOR, on the 3rd. The donated funds, contributed under the names of ADOR and NewJeans, will be used to support living and housing expenses for low-income college students.

NewJeans performed at several university festivals, starting with Korea University on the 25th of last month, followed by Chosun University, Dongguk University, and Chung-Ang University. They showcased their new songs "How Sweet" and "Bubble Gum," among other hits.

ADOR and NewJeans expressed their gratitude, stating, "Performing at seven university festivals in a week, we received immense energy and love. We wanted to give back to college students in need with the love we received. We are thankful for this opportunity."

Additionally, "How Sweet" achieved notable success, reaching first place in both the YouTube Music Chart Korea's weekly popular songs and music video categories as of the 2nd. It also ranked 2nd in YouTube's global weekly popular songs and 9th in the global music video categories.
