SEOUL, July 28 (Yonhap) -- Idol audition program, which S.Korean celebrities and producers participate, will be aired in Thailand in Sept.

S.Korea and Thailand’s collaborative program ‘Glow On Top’ will debut nonet Thai boy group through Korean version survival audition as K-pop is receiving global attention.

99 people who were selected through preliminaries compete to be in the final debut group. Famous singers and actors from both countries made the list of mentors.

Minzy from 2ne1, and Up10tion members Lee Jin-hyuk and Kim Woo will starr.

A total of 12 episodes will be aired from September 10 to November 26 on the Thailand Workpoint Channel. The final selected idol group will receive training in Korea and prepare an album. They will start their activities with a live debut concert in Thailand on Dec. 24 of this year.

Showmade Thailand, established by S.Korean Inno Entertainment and Showmade and ANIF of Thailand, produced the program. Producers and writers who have experience in producing Korean audition programs such as Mnet's “Show Me The Money” and “Superstar K” will participate and pass on their know-how.

Minzy said, “I have seen many people quit when they go through slump,” adding, “With the mind that ‘It’s not over until it’s over,’ keep go on with your race,” at a production presentation held at the Landmark Hotel in Bangkok, Thailand on Wednesday.

Thailand Singer and actor Off said “I was fan of Minzy,” adding, “I am happy and honored to work with Korean artists.”

Yoon Dong-hoon, co-CEO of Showmade Thailand, said, “It is more meaningful as this is first boy group survival audtion program by Thailand and Korea,” adding “we are also considering seasonal production.”

Director of the Korean Cultural Center in Thailand, Cho Jae-il, and officials from the Thai Ministry of Culture also participated in the event to commemorate the cultural content exchange between the two countries.
