SEOUL, Sept. 9 (Yonhap) -- Jang Ki-ha will release his first solo studio album, "Shattered," at 6 p.m. Wednesday, his agency, Duruduru Artist Company, said.
"Shattered," which Jang has spent two years preparing, was completed through an unconventional creative process. Starting with a poem he wrote, he first produced a 33-minute silent film and then created nine songs to match the footage.
The agency described the project as "the starting point of video music that redefines the boundaries between film and music," saying it will offer fans who have long awaited Jang's new release "a special experience in which music and video fit together as one."
A documentary series chronicling the behind-the-scenes story of the album's two-year production will also be released following the album's launch.
