SEOUL, April 8 (Yonhap) -- The romance thriller series "Siren," starring Park Min-young and Wi Ha-jun, ended its run with viewership ratings in the 4 percent range.

According to Nielsen Korea on Tuesday, the final episode of the tvN Monday-Tuesday drama "Siren" recorded a nationwide rating of 4.5 percent.

The finale depicted Han Seol-a, played by Park, and Cha Woo-seok, played by Wi, successfully handing over the true culprit behind a string of murders, Do Eun-hyuk, to the police.

Do confessed to killing people around Han, including her parents and her ex-boyfriend, but claimed he had done so to protect her.

After discovering the horrifying truth about someone she once trusted as a close friend, Han bid him a final farewell. Overwhelmed by guilt and self-loathing, Do ultimately took his own life.

Freed from a long cycle of tragedy, Han and Cha comfort each other’s wounds and become true lovers, bringing the story to a happy ending.

The series, which follows the intertwined relationship between the enigmatic Han and insurance investigator Cha as he tracks the truth behind the deaths surrounding her, captivated viewers with its mysterious atmosphere and continuous plot twists.

In addition to the lead actors, Kim Jung-hyun, who played Baek Jun-beom, a man obsessed with Han, and Han Jun-woo, who portrayed the twist character Do Eun-hyuk, delivered strong performances that added to the drama’s appeal.
