Olive Young launches dedicated new-product section on mobile app

SEOUL, June 19 (Yonhap) -- CJ Olive Young said Friday it has launched "OlYoung New," a dedicated section on its mobile app designed to introduce newly released products.

 

The "OlYoung New" page consists of several features aimed at showcasing new items in various ways.

 

Among them are "New Rewind," which recommends around 300 products launched within the past three months by category, and "New Calendar," which allows users to check upcoming product launches and discount information in advance.

 

The initiative is intended to secure dedicated exposure space so that promising brands in the K-beauty sector can gain broader recognition.

 

Olive Young operated the page on a trial basis from June 8-17. Sales of products featured on the page increased 35 percent from the same period a month earlier, the company said.

 

The company also plans to introduce "OlYoung New Week," a monthly promotion held during the fourth week of each month offering discounts on newly released products and items from newly added brands.

 

This month's event will run for five days starting June 22 and feature products from four brands -- Narca, Bioga, So Natural and Aritaum.

 

"OlYoung New will serve as a place where consumers can discover the latest trends first and where brands can effectively introduce new products," an Olive Young official said.
