SEOUL, Feb. 19 (Yonhap) -- Group TREASURE’s first mini-album “THE SECOND STEP: CHAPTER ONE,” released on Feb. 15, sold more than 700,000 copies as of 2 p.m. on the 18th, in three days, according to YG Entertainment.

YG Entertainment said, "This is the highest record of TREASURE's single album sales," and explained, "In addition to Korea, Japan, China, and Southeast Asia, the U.S. accounted for more than 20% of TREASURE's sales."

TREASURE sold 240,000 to 280,000 copies of the three singles each in its first year of debut. The group sold about 360,000 copies of the first full-length album, which was released last year.

The number of regions the group topped the iTunes album chart has increased from 18 and 19 to 30. The title song “JIKJIN” topped the music charts in Japan including Line Music, Apple Music, iTunes, AWA, Rakuten Music, and mu-mo.

“This is a glimpse of TREASURE’s rise to a global fandom,” adding, “The group’s influence in Japan, which stood out first, has also grown.”
