SEOUL, June 21 (Yonhap) -- SEVENTEEN unit Jeonghan and Wonwoo have set a new record for first-week sales by a K-pop unit with their debut single "This Man," released on the 17th, achieving nearly 700,000 copies sold within just four days.

According to Pledis Entertainment on the 21st, "This Man" sold 694,009 copies by the previous day, based on Hanteo Chart data. This marks the highest first-week sales ever for a K-pop unit.

The single sold 500,000 copies on its release day alone, and the title track "Last Night" reached 3rd place on the Worldwide iTunes Song chart.

"This Man" draws inspiration from an urban legend about a man seen in dreams by people worldwide and reinterprets it into their own story. The single includes three tracks: the title track "Last Night," Jeonghan's solo track "Beautiful Monster," and Wonwoo's solo track "Trash Can."

Jeonghan and Wonwoo also appeared on the American music digital platform Genius' "Open Mic" the day before, where they performed a live stage of "Last Night."
