SEOUL, May 31 (Yonhap) – K-pop boy group ZE:A’s Moon Jun-young(33), who was charged with drunk driving, has been summarily indicted.

According to legal circles on May 31, the Seoul Central District Prosecutors' Office has summarily indicted Moon with a fine of 8 million won on charges of drunk driving on May 9.

Moon was allegedly caught for driving drunk in Sinsa-dong, Gangnam-gu, in the early morning of March 7.

Moon reportedly drove the wrong way and quarreled with a driver coming from the other side on a one-way road. The driver who smelled alcohol and suspected drunk driving reported Moon to the police.

The idol member’s blood-alcohol level was much higher than the accepted limit, equivalent to driver’s license cancellation.

A summary indictment is a procedure in which a summary order is requested through a written hearing without formally bringing it to trial when it is judged that a fine is more appropriate than a prison sentence or imprisonment sentence.
