SEOUL, Dec. 10 (Yonhap) -- KINTEX, an exhibition and convention center in Goyang, Gyeonggi Province, announced on Saturday that it will hold the "3rd Bangkok Beauty Show & 6th K-Beauty Expo Bangkok 2022" (hereinafter referred to as the Fair) from Dec.15 to Dec.17 at the Bangkok International Trade Exhibition Center.

Thailand is one of Korea's top five cosmetics exporters and with its market size reaching about 6 trillion won, it is considered a base for beauty companies to enter Southeast Asia market.

Cumulative of 130 companies, including 80 domestic companies and 50 overseas companies, will participate in the event, which is happening for the first time in three years after the COVID-19.

KINTEX has invited about 50 buyers from Thailand and Southeast Asia separately, and a face-to-face export consultation meeting regarding the expansion to Southeast Asian market will be held from Dec. 15 to 16/

The export consultation meeting is systematically and substantially prepared, from a preliminary briefing session before the fair to networking opportunities for local beauty group officials. There will also be "A Night of participating companies."

Events for women in their 20s and 40s, the main consumers, are also organized. Influencers such as Chalita Suansane, Miss Univere Thailand 2016, and Yingye, who has more than 3 million followers on social media, will promote products, and large Christmas trees and photo zones will be st at major hot spots in Bangkok.

An event official said, "Since the demand for Korean beauty products is increasing in the Southeast Asian market, this event will be a good opportunity for small and medium-sized beauty companies in Korea."
