SEOUL, January 3 (Yonhap) -- Online shopping malls and home shopping channels started holding special events and selling holiday limited gift products ahead of the Korean New Year holiday. 

Lotte Home Shopping announced on Tuesday that it will hold a special sales of until the December 18 and showcase holiday gift products such as premium kitchenware and food.

It will sell electric rice cookers and pot sets through their TV home shopping. 

11St will hold a "2023 New Year's Check-in" event with 6 million special products until December 18. 

It will introduce products such as fresh and processed foods which are heavily burdened by high prices caused by the inflation, as well as clothing and home appliances. 

 

It also sells barley-aged Dried Yellow Croake gift sets in collaboration with local producers.

Coupang will sell Korean New Year-related products at up to 50% discount until January 21.

Coupang came up with diverse offers this year such as the Korean New Year special products, brand days, Korean New Year gift weeks, and keyword days.

Tmon will hold the "Korean New Year's Day Promotion" event with special products until December 24.

The event will be divided into a preparation hall, a gift hall, and a benefit & brand hall, which will sell food, daily necessities, and hanbok. The gift hall will sell Korean New Year gifts in various price ranges, and the benefit & brand hall will sell popular brand products.

Wemakeprice will hold a surprise promotion until December 17.

The special promotion will be held in different corners such as today's recommended products, gifts by category, and products by price range. LA seasoned ribs which is a popular item during the Korean New Year will be sold at the "Today's recommendation product corner."
