SEOUL, March 27 (Yonhap) -- Hyundai Department Store said Friday it will hold a large-scale experiential shopping event, “The Hyundai Popup Festa,” during the spring season.

The event will run from March 27 to April 30 at Hyundai Department Store and Hyundai Outlet locations nationwide.

“The Hyundai Popup Festa” is an experiential content-driven event organized by the retailer, featuring around 170 pop-up stores tailored to diverse customer preferences, including those of younger generations and foreign visitors.

Popular brands among younger consumers will take part in the event. At The Hyundai Seoul, a “Marie Claire” pop-up will be held from April 2 to 8, while a pop-up for subculture game “Trickcal Revive” will run at the Pangyo branch from March 27 to April 7. Additional pop-ups include beauty select shop “Koasis” at the Mokdong branch and a figure and plastic model specialty pop-up at the Pangyo branch.

At the Trade Center branch, the “WWW (What We Wear)” event will take place from April 3 to 9 in collaboration with the Korea Fashion Industry Association, showcasing K-fashion designer brands. The Cheonho branch will host a “Wellness Fair” for senior customers from March 27 to April 5, while the Pangyo branch will hold an “AI & TECH Fair” from April 3 to 16, offering hands-on experiences with advanced technologies such as robotics.

K-culture experience programs for global customers have also been expanded. The Kintex branch will host a “Learn Korean with BTS” pop-up through April 12, while the Cheonho branch will offer a traditional Korean paper craft experience through April 5. The Jungdong branch will feature traditional nacre and tile art experiences through April 19, and The Hyundai Seoul will host tufting and knitting experience events through April 12.

For family visitors, outlets will offer various intellectual property-themed experiential pop-ups. From April 3 to 19, Hyundai Premium Outlet in Gimpo will host a “Numberblocks” pop-up for children’s educational content, while the Namyangju Space One outlet will hold a pop-up for global jelly brand “Haribo” over the same period.

Signature content programs will also be available at major locations such as Pangyo and The Hyundai Seoul, including “Be Clean” beauty week, a street fair by young fashion select shop “PEER,” and a special exhibition by off-price store “Off Works.” Detailed schedules and information are available on the company’s website and mobile app.

Customer participation events will also be held. Users who vote for their most anticipated pop-up brand on the “H-Talk Talk” page of the H Point app will be entered into a draw to receive up to 500,000 H Points.

A company official said the event was designed to allow customers to experience the latest trends in various ways during the spring season, adding that the company will continue to introduce new content to provide unique shopping experiences.
