SEOUL, July 23 (Yonhap) -- The original soundtrack (OST) of Netflix’s popular animated film "K-Pop Demon Hunters" has continued its impressive run on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 singles chart, with eight tracks simultaneously entering the chart for the second consecutive week.
According to the latest chart released on Tuesday (local time), “Golden” — performed by the fictional girl group HUNTRIX featured in the animation — ranked No. 4, leading the OST’s strong showing on the Billboard Hot 100.
"Golden," which debuted at No. 81 on the chart earlier this month, quickly climbed the ranks to place 23rd, then 6th, and now 4th, showcasing its growing popularity.
"Your Idol," a song by the boy group Lion Boys — HUNTRIX’s rivals in the film — rose two spots from the previous week to reach No. 14, marking its fourth straight week on the chart.
Other tracks that made the Hot 100 include “How It’s Done” by HUNTRIX at No. 23, and “Soda Pop” by Lion Boys at No. 25. The duet “Free,” performed by HUNTRIX’s Lumi and Lion Boys’ Jinwoo, came in at No. 41, followed by HUNTRIX’s “What It Sounds Like” at No. 43.
“Takedown” appeared twice on the chart: HUNTRIX’s version ranked No. 51, while the version performed by TWICE members Jeongyeon, Jihyo, and Chaeyoung landed at No. 90.
The full "K-Pop Demon Hunters" OST album also showed strong performance, securing No. 5 on the Billboard 200, the main albums chart.
"K-Pop Demon Hunters" follows the story of HUNTRIX, a popular K-pop girl group who secretly battle evil spirits to protect the human world. Since its release on June 20, the film has topped Netflix’s global film rankings, reflecting its international popularity.
Meanwhile, BLACKPINK’s new single “JUMP” debuted at No. 28 on the Hot 100. Member Rosé, who collaborated with pop star Bruno Mars on the duet “APT.,” reached No. 40 and extended her chart run to 39 consecutive weeks.
Boy group ATEEZ debuted at No. 68 on the Hot 100 with their new track “In Your Fantasy.” On the Billboard 200, TWICE’s fourth full-length album “THIS IS FOR” entered the chart at No. 6, while ATEEZ re-entered the chart at No. 7 with a new edition of their EP “GOLDEN HOUR: Part.3” titled “In Your Fantasy Edition.”
Additionally, the soundtrack album "F1: The Album" for the film "F1: The Movie," which includes Rosé’s track “Messy,” ranked No. 23. The U.S.-Korea joint girl group CAT’S EYE placed No. 24 with “Beautiful Chaos,” and ENHYPEN’s “DESIRE: UNLEASH” came in at No. 163.
