SEOUL, June 9 (Yonhap) -- Tving original occult series “Monstrous” will be available for international viewers in six European countries in September, the local streaming service said Friday.

The series will be available for subscribers of the American streamer Amazon Prime Video in six countries, including France, Monaco, Andorra, Belgium, Luxembourg and Switzerland.

Starring Koo Kyo-hwan and Shin Hyun-been, “Monstrous” follows a strange incident that occurs in a village, where a cursed Buddha statue mysteriously appears. An archaeologist and a pattern reader then attempt to track down the case.

The chilling series was written by screenwriter Yeon Sang-ho, who has credits for writing multiple hit films including “Train to Busan” and “Peninsula.”
