SEOUL, Dec. 13 (Yonhap) -- Korean Film Archive will hold academic symposium "Production of Emotion, Capture of Change: Change and path of Korean films in 1970s" (translated) on Saturday.

The symposium, which will take place at Cinema Tech KOFA of Korean Film Archive in Mapo district, is arranged to spotlight Korean films in 1970s, the time period considered as "the Dark Ages" for films due to the high level of censorship and the appearance of TV.

Policy of films and trend of production will be examined through income ratios of Korean films and foreign films in 1970s, and children's animations that were popular in the late 1970s will be discussed.
