SEOUL, April 14 (Yonhap) -- Fantasy romance film “Ditto" (2000), in which actors Yoo Ji-tae and Kim Ha-neul appeared, will be remade in 22 years.
“Yeo Jin-goo and Cho Yi-hyun will play the main roles of the upcoming ‘Ditto’ and the filming will begin next month,” announced production company Gogo Studio, Thursday.
“Ditto” is about a story of a woman living in 1979 and a man in 2000, who begin to talk coincidentally through amateur radio.
In the remake film, Yeo will play Yong, a mechanical engineering major in the Class of 1999 and Cho will be Mu-nui, a sociology major in the Class of 2025 who communicate beyond time.
Kim Hye-yoon will play Yong’s first love Han-sol, Na In-woo will play Mu-nui’s friend Yeong-ji, and Bae In-hyuk will play Eun-seong, a friend of Yong in the same major.
Director Seo Eun-young, who won the Bucheon International Fantastic Film Festival for "Go Back," will direct the upcoming film.
