SEOUL March 7 (Yonhap) -- Seoul City Government addressed on Tuesday that six of the South Korean brands has been provided with an opportunity to market and sell their products at the Tranoi exhibition held through Paris Fashion week for Fall and Winter Collection.
Tranoi Exhibition which is part of Paris Fashion week which is an international event where various buyers from all over the world gathers around to see the goods, took place at the Brongniart Palas in Paris on March 2 through 5.
Seoul City Government signed an MOU with Tranoi since the spring of 2022, and continued to open booths for Seoul Fashion Week throughout the Paris Fashion Week.
Six of the South Korean women’s clothing brands which will be showcased at the Seoul Fashion Week booth consists of “Kwakhyunjoo Collection,” “Doucan,” “Lie,” “Mmam,” “Vegan Tiger,” and “Tibaeg.”
The city government created a sales team strictly geared towards Tranoi and conducted a series of interviews to find out what individual brands needed. Moreover, it showcased an opportunity for participating brands to supply product lines to business to business platform “Lenewblack.”
After the exhibition at Tranoi, six of the brands will be participating at the Seoul Fashion Week, which will take place from March 15 through 19.
Fashion shows for 31 various fashion brands out of 67 participating brands will take place through Seoul Fashion Week, additionally, Seoul Fashion Week’s Trade Show will also take place.
Moreover, South Korean male fashion brands, “Beyond Closet,” “Sling Stone,” “Ajobyajo,” “Iryuk,” “Ul:kin” will be participating at the “Garage Amelot” which will take place in Paris starting on June 22 through 25.
Joined fashion show between three of the male fashion brand will take place as well.
This will be the first time Seoul Fashion Show will be showcasing male fashion brand at the Paris Fashion week which has been going on for 22 years.
Song Ho-jae, of Seoul City Government addressed “We have enhanced our supporting for the exhibition so that fashion brands can take a step further after the exhibition.”
