SEOUL, Jan. 24 (Yonhap) -- The concert "SMTOWN LIVE 2022: SMCU EXPRESS@KWANGYA," planned by K-Pop Powerhouse SM Entertainment for the New Year of 2022, will be released again.
The concert will be streaming on the “Beyond LIVE” platform and LG U+ Idol Live web and application on Jan. 29 starting from 3 p.m., according to SM Entertainment, Monday.
“SMTOWN LIVE 2022” is a concert held with SMCU’s (SM Culture Universe) artists gathering around at the "KWANGYA,” an unknown world, to celebrate New Year.
In the performance, SM’s top artists including Kangta, TVXQ, Super Junior, SHINee, EXO, NCT, and aespa were on stage, and Raiden, Ginjo, Imlay showed off their fancy DJing skills.
Especially, the new song “Step Back” of “GOT the beat,” which consists of BoA, Tae-yeon and Hyo-yeon of Girls' Generation, Seul-gi and Wendy of Red Velvet, and Winter and Karina of aespa, was revealed for the first time.
At the time of the performance, 51 million streaming cases were recorded in 179 regions around the world based on YouTube.
An SM official said, "SM Town Live 2022 is a compilation of performance contents pursued by SM,” adding, "This restreaming is a special event held only once to repay the support of global fans.”
