SEOUL, July 8 (Yonhap) -- K-pop supergroup BTS has partnered with the British Museum to present "Korea Gallery Trail," an interactive program introducing Korean cultural heritage, through July 23 (local time), its agency HYBE said Wednesday.
"Korea Gallery Trail" is part of the offline event "BTS THE CITY ARIRANG-LONDON," held in conjunction with the group's London concerts on its world tour.
The program takes inspiration from BTS' fifth full-length album, "ARIRANG," and invites visitors to explore artifacts representing hope, resilience and a sense of belonging.
Featured exhibits from the museum's permanent Korean gallery include a sarangbang (traditional reception room), symbolizing new beginnings; a moon jar, representing humanity; gold earrings showcasing refined craftsmanship; and a decorative roof-end tile reflecting Korea's enduring cultural vitality.
Organizers said the program focuses primarily on artifacts from the Silla Kingdom, inspired by "No.29," the sixth track on the album, which incorporates the resonant sound of the Divine Bell of King Seongdeok.
Visitors can scan a QR code at the entrance to the Korean gallery to follow the guided trail and take part in a social media campaign by answering the question, "What is Your Arirang?" Participants are encouraged to share the artifact that resonates most with their own lives.
HYBE said the program allows visitors to appreciate the technological sophistication and artistic achievements of the period while creating new connections between BTS' music, Korean cultural heritage and the personal experiences of museumgoers from around the world.
BTS held concerts in London on Sunday and Monday at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium as part of its "ARIRANG" world tour.
