SEOUL, June 11 (Yonhap) -- South Korean beauty giant APR said Thursday it will sequentially launch "Booster Pro X2," the next-generation beauty device under its Medicube AGE-R brand, in the United States and Britain.
The Booster Pro X2 will first debut on TikTok Shop in the United States on Wednesday local time, followed by launches on Amazon in the U.S. and TikTok Shop and Amazon in Britain. APR said it plans to expand distribution to offline channels in the future.
Released in March, the Booster Pro X2 is the successor to AGE-R's flagship "Booster Pro" device and marks the brand's first next-generation model in about two and a half years.
Featuring a dual-care concept, the device is designed to improve energy delivery and enhance the absorption of skincare products.
Through the latest launch, APR aims to improve the accessibility of Medicube AGE-R products in North America and Europe and strengthen the brand's presence in the global home beauty device market.
Demand for home beauty devices has continued to grow, particularly in the United States and Britain, amid rapidly rising consumption of K-beauty content on social media platforms.
As of the end of last month, Medicube's global Instagram account had 1.39 million followers, while the brand's U.S. TikTok Shop account had more than 500,000 followers.
"By launching on major platforms in the U.S. and Britain, we plan to enable global consumers to experience APR's beauty devices through various channels," an APR official said.
