SEOUL, June 2 (Yonhap) -- TVING original web series “The Love Story of Chun-hwa" (romanized title) will be released next year, the local streamer said Friday. 

 

Set in the fictional country of the East, the period romance series will follow Princess Hwari who decides to find her own husband instead of marrying the one chosen by her father, the King, according to TVING.

Actress Go Ah-sung will suit up as Princess Hwari, while Chang Ryul will co-star as Choi Hwan, the most highly acclaimed business magnate and the first candidate as the husband of the Princess.

Directed by Lee Kwang-young of “Call It Love” (2023) and “No, Thank You” (2020, 2022), this period rom-com series will be based on the script written by Seo Eun-jung, who has credits for writing “So Not Worth It” (2021) and “New Nonstop” (2000 - 2002).
