SEOUL, June 13 (Yonhap) – K-pop boy group Seventeen’s fourth full album “Face the Sun” has broken its record by ranking No. 7 on Billboard’s main album chart “Billboard 200.”
The album recorded a total of 44,000 copies of sales, according to the analytical article of Billboard chart on June 12(U.S. Time).
Billboard ranks top songs based on traditional album sales, streaming equivalent albums(SEA), which converts the number of streams into album sales, and track equivalent albums(TEA), which converts the number of downloads into album sales.
According to Billboard, Seventeen scores 42,000 traditional album sales and 2,000 streaming SEA units.
The group each ranked No. 15 and No. 13 with the mini albums “Your Choice” and “Attacca” on this chart last year.
Billboard explained, “Like many other K-pop stars, the CD of this album was released in a total of seven collectable deluxe packages,” adding, “Each album contains various contents, including photo cards, post cards, and posters.”
