SEOUL, Oct. 30 (Yonhap) -- 

Indie band SIMILE LAND released its new mini album “Young-Hee” at noon Thursday, the group’s agency Kite said.

 

Unlike their previous album “Chul-Su,” which expressed an upbeat and energetic personality, “Young-Hee” portrays the darker and more dreamlike aspects of human emotion through music.

 

The six-track album includes the title song “A Bottomless Jar,” as well as “A Secret Even My Mom Doesn’t Know,” “Falling,” “Shh..,” and “Should I Visit a Psychiatrist.”

 

“Many listeners remember us as a high-energy band,” SIMILE LAND said, “but we wanted to show that we can’t be confined to a single genre or image. We’ve been planning this trilogy of mini albums to capture different sides of humanity — excitement, melancholy, and love.”

 

SIMILE LAND is a five-member band consisting of Sim A-il (vocals, guitar), Lapa (keyboard), Son Se-won (guitar), Kim Kyung-hoon (drums), and Jang Soo-won (bass). The group plans to release the final part of the trilogy, “Badoogi,” next year.
