SEOUL, Apr. 13 (Yonhap) – "Busan One-night Cruise" is a representative marine tourism program in which tourists can look around nearby sea, departing from port of Busan for two days and one night, while unfortunately, it ceased sailing due to COVID-19 crisis after February of 2020.


"Begin Again PanStar" program which is to make a sea trial, sounding the boat horn in almost two years in port of Busan at 5 p.m. on the 16th, has been sold out early.

"Busan One-night Cruise is scheduled to sail on every Friday and Saturday starting from the upcoming May 6th.

Also, "Festival for Joseon Dynasty Diplomatic Missionaries" will be held at Yongho Beolbit Park in Busan, Nam-gu from May 5th to 8th.

Under the theme of 'Wind of Peace', the festival, held as a face-to-face event in three years, will be filled with civic participation programs and entertainments, with the aim of wishing to host the the 2030 Busan World Expo.

Events will be held such as a voyage tour of Joseon Dynasty Diplomatic Missionaries, a peace mission parade that reproduces the procession of Joseon Dynasty Diplomatic Missionaries, and a drone performance which contains historic meaning of Joseon Dynasty Diplomatic Missionaries.

Furthermore, Haeundae Sand Festival will be held normally from May 20th to 23th in Haeundae Beach and Haeundae Square for the first time in three years.

The festival was cancelled in 2020 due to COVID-19 prevention, and was replaced with sand art exhibition last year.

In this year's Haeundae Sand Festival under the theme of 'World travel through sand,' 15 pieces of sand art modeling architectures such as the Eiffel Tower and the pyramid will be displayed.

At the opening ceremony, the festival will hold ocean firework show and run off various participation programs such as sand board and sand playground for kids.

Right after the local election in June, Busan Alleyway Homecoming Walking Festa, walking 17 kilometers in four districts including Jung-gu, Dong-gu, Seo-gu, and Yeongdo-gu will be held.

Local festivals will resume in earnest, with street art festivals held in various parts of the city, including Seomyeon car-free street in Jin-gu, Busan.
