SEOUL, July 26 (Yonhap) -- The music video for K-pop superband BTS' latest summer bop "Permission to Dance" has surpassed 200 million views on YouTube.
"The number of YouTube views for "Permission to Dance," which was released on July 9, hit 200 million at around 1:19 a.m. on Monday, according to Big Hit Music
The music video for "Permission to Dance," which shows BTS dancing excitedly in a carefree atmosphere, reached 100 million views on July 11, 52 hours after its release.
The video also recorded more than 2.3 million peak concurrents at the time of YouTube's first premiere. This is the fourth-highest number of records for BTS after the "Butter", "Dynamite" and "Life Goes On" music videos.
"Permission to Dance," which carries the message of everyone dancing freely despite the hardship felt in reality, debuted at No.1 on the U.S. Billboard main singles chart last week after receiving the baton from BTS' "Butter, which topped the chart for seven straight weeks.
With this record, a total of 22 music video for BTS has surpassed 200 million views on YouTube.
