SEOUL, Jan. 21 (Yonhap) -- The Cultural Heritage Administration and the Korea Heritage Agency announced on Tuesday that they will produce 250,000 copies of the "Visitor Passport" as part of the "National Heritage Visit Campaign" this year.
The campaign aims to highlight the value and beauty of Korea's cultural heritage. Among its initiatives, the Visitor Passport tour program allows participants to explore 76 designated heritage sites nationwide and collect stamps as they visit. Over 120,000 people took part in the program last year.
To accommodate growing interest, the number of passports has been increased from last year’s 120,000 to 250,000. Applications are accepted on the 10th and 20th of each month, designated as "Visitor Passport Application Days."
Starting February 10, a dedicated call center (☎ 1670-8904) will be launched to help individuals aged 65 and older apply for the passport more easily.
