SEOUL, July 17 (Yonhap) -- Studio X+U, a content production company under LG Uplus, announced on the 17th that Hyeri has been cast as the lead actress in the upcoming drama 'Friendly Competition,' set to be released next year.

 

Based on the webtoon of the same name, 'Friendly Competition' is a high-teen mystery thriller that unfolds as Woo Seul-gi, an orphan from a rural area, transfers to Chae-Hwa Girls' High School, where only the top 1% of students gather.

 

Hyeri will play the role of Yoo Je-i, a powerful figure at Chae-Hwa High. 

 

Yoo Je-i is a genius who ranks in the top 0.1% of the prestigious school and comes from a distinguished family background.
