SEOUL, March 15 (Yonhap) -- Sibling duo AKMU (Akdong Musician) and girl group Baby Monster are set to perform at one of Japan's representative music festivals, 'Summer Sonic 2024'.

 

 

According to the official website of Summer Sonic on the 15th, AKMU will take the stage on August 17th, while Baby Monster will perform on August 18th in Tokyo.

 

Summer Sonic is a large-scale urban music festival in Japan where top local and international musicians participate. This year, Italian band Måneskin and British band Bring Me The Horizon are among the acts.

 

Last year, NU'EST performed at the same festival, attracting over 30,000 spectators.

 

AKMU, who recently held 17 concerts in 10 cities nationwide, plans to expand their activities onto the world stage through this festival.

 

Debuting in November last year, Baby Monster is slated to release their first mini-album next month and actively engage in promotions thereafter.
