SEOUL, Sept. 15 (Yonhap) -- Starship Entertainment, the agency behind Monsta X and Ive, is set to unveil its new seven-member boy group IDID on Monday. 

 

The group will make its official debut with the release of its first EP, “I did it.”

 

IDID consists of Jang Yong-hoon, Kim Min-jae, Park Won-bin, Chu Yu-chan, Park Sung-hyun, Baek Jun-hyuk and Jung Se-min. The members were selected through the YouTube survival audition program “Debut’s Plan.”

 

Starship said the team was verified through the show for their abilities in dancing, singing, fan communication and stage expression, describing them as a “well-rounded idol group whose eyes change the moment they step on stage.”

 

The debut EP embodies the group’s identity by capturing the members’ raw emotions and energy. It features eight tracks, including the lead single “Brilliantly My Way,” along with “Slow Tide,” “Step It Up” and “Sticky Bomb.”

 

The lead track is described as a free-spirited, energetic song combining acoustic guitar and rhythmic drums with the members’ refreshing vocals.

 

IDID will hold a fan showcase at Yes24 Live Hall in eastern Seoul on Monday at 8 p.m. to mark its debut.
