SEOUL, Aug. 7 (Yonhap) -- Music video for boy band BTS's hit song "Dynamite" exceeded 1.2 billion views on YouTube at around 6:20 p.m. on the 6th of August, according to the band's agency, BigHit Music Saturday.

Following that of their other music videos, "DNA" and "Boy With Luv," this is their 3rd time to reach 1.2 billion views.

"Dynamite," which was released in August 2020, is a funky disco pop and was the band's first English music.

It made a global success ranking 1st place on Billboard Main Single Chart 'Hot 100' for 3 times and having been streamed over a billion times, accumulative, on Spotify, a music streaming platform.

Its music video set a new record on YouTube on its release date as the most viewed video for the last 24 hours (11.1 million views).
