SEOUL, Oct. 7 (Yonhap) -- K-pop supergroup BTS will hold concerts in Peru for the first time since its debut in 2013, with the capital city of Lima designating a street as "BTS Avenue" to mark the occasion, the group's agency BigHit Music said Wednesday.

BTS will perform at Estadio San Marcos in Lima on Wednesday, Friday and Saturday as part of its world tour "Arirang."

The Santiago de Surco district has temporarily renamed Sacramento Street in the Surco area "BTS Avenue" Monday to Sunday this week and installed signs announcing the designation.

Lima has also prepared various attractions to welcome the group.

The Arco Morisco, a landmark in the Surco Friendship Park, was illuminated in purple, BTS' signature color, last Sunday and will feature a BTS-themed light show every day through upcoming Sunday.

At the Magic Water Circuit, another popular Lima attraction, a BTS-themed event featuring music, lights and water screens will also run through Sunday.

"Peru Travel," the country's official tourism website, has highlighted BTS' Lima concerts as an opportunity to showcase Peru's cuisine, culture and natural scenery.

BTS kicked off its South American tour with two concerts at Estadio El Campin in Bogota, Colombia, on Oct. 2-3, drawing about 100,000 fans over the two days.

Spanish-language outlet Rolling Stone en Espanol described the concerts as "the most anticipated concert of an entire generation," adding that BTS "met expectations and, at several moments, went beyond them."

Meanwhile, BTS released an episode of its official content series "Run BTS! 2.0" on Tuesday, showing the members enjoying an autumn picnic in Toronto, where they visited as part of the world tour. The episode was released through the group's official YouTube channel and fan platform Weverse.
