SEOUL, May 13 (Yonhap) -- Global beauty brand Laneige has launched a new sunscreen product combining UV protection, tone-up and skin tone-correcting functions, the company said Wednesday.
The new “Water Bank Blue Tone-Up Sunscreen” is a tone-up version of the “Laneige Water Bank Sunscreen” released last year.
The product maintains the smooth application and lightweight, hydrating finish of the original sunscreen while incorporating Laneige’s “Blue Color Formula” to help neutralize redness and yellow undertones for a clearer-looking complexion.
The sunscreen contains blue hyaluronic acid and centella asiatica-derived PDRN ingredients designed to soothe skin temporarily irritated by external factors and help strengthen the skin barrier.
The company said the product also helps create an even skin tone without clumping, making it suitable as a makeup prep base.
A Laneige official said the sunscreen is expected to appeal to consumers seeking both UV protection and natural tone-correcting effects with a fresh finish.
The product is available through Amore Mall and will be released sequentially on major online platforms in South Korea, including Naver and Olive Young.
