SEOUL, July 25 (Yonhap) -- K-pop girl group 2NE1 will return to the stage with a solo concert in October.

 

YG Entertainment announced on the 25th that 2NE1 will hold their solo concert, "2024 2NE1 CONCERT WELCOME BACK IN SEOUL," on October 5-6 at the Olympic Hall in Seoul Olympic Park.

 

This marks 2NE1's first solo concert in approximately 10 years and 6 months since their last one in 2014. The group, which disbanded in November 2016, recently reunited with YG Entertainment's chief producer Yang Hyun-suk to discuss new projects and decided to hold a concert celebrating their 15th debut anniversary.

 

Comprised of members CL, Sandara Park, Park Bom, and Minzy, 2NE1 debuted in 2009 and became one of the leading girl groups of the second generation with hits like "Fire" and "I Am the Best." Following their disbandment announcement, they released their final song "Goodbye" in January 2017.

 

In 2022, 2NE1 performed as a complete group at the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival, a major U.S. music event.

 

Starting with the Seoul concert, 2NE1 will embark on a global tour, including performances in Kobe, Japan, in November and Tokyo in December.
