SEOUL, March 30 (Yonhap) -- Able C&C said Monday its cosmetics brand Missha has revamped its “Glow Prep” line and launched a new product to strengthen its presence in the hybrid base makeup market.

The company introduced the new “Glow Pore Blurring Balm,” designed to cover pores and smooth skin texture, while fully renewing the packaging of the existing Glow Prep line.

The move comes as the beauty industry shifts toward the healthy-glow trend, which emphasizes natural radiance over heavy coverage. Demand is also rising for hybrid base products that blur the line between skincare and makeup, with prep products gaining attention for improving skin condition before makeup application.

Missha said it has established a three-product prep lineup consisting of “Glow Pore Blurring Balm,” “Glow BB Boomer,” and “Glow Skin Balm.” The renewed packaging features a blend of soft pink and neutral beige tones with curved silhouettes for a more modern and refined look. Glow Skin Balm is available in both a large 50-milliliter size and a portable 20-milliliter tube.

The new Glow Pore Blurring Balm is a primer that smooths uneven skin texture and minimizes the appearance of pores. Its hybrid formula combines the benefits of a moisturizing gel and a primer, delivering hydration while leaving a soft, non-greasy finish.

Glow BB Boomer enhances the adherence and longevity of BB cream, while fine pearl particles add a natural glow without darkening. Glow Skin Balm is a four-in-one product combining the functions of a moisturizer, morning pack, primer and radiance cream, helping create a hydrated, luminous complexion.

The renewal also incorporates Missha’s signature “onggi fermentation” technology across the entire line. Active ingredients extracted by fermenting damask rose water and bifida in traditional earthenware for 24 hours provide deep hydration and a healthy glow without irritating sensitive skin, the company said.

Cho Ye-seo, head of brand strategy at Able C&C, said the Glow Prep line reflects growing consumer demand for natural beauty solutions and that the company will continue to expand its hybrid product lineup by integrating its skincare technologies.

To mark the launch, Missha is offering promotions on its official online mall “Able Shop” and fashion and beauty platform Musinsa. Customers can receive discounts of up to 35 percent on Glow Prep products, along with gifts such as mini cushions, masks and pouches depending on purchases.

Able C&C currently operates in 56 countries with about 42,000 stores worldwide, led by its brands Missha and A’pieu, and aims to strengthen its competitiveness through product innovation and localized strategies.
