SEOUL April 11 (Yonhap) -- Fish Music, the agency representing singer Lim Young-woong, announced on Monday that tickets for his upcoming solo concert "IM HERO - THE STADIUM" at Seoul World Cup Stadium next month have sold out rapidly.

On the previous afternoon, as ticketing began online, the website experienced a surge in traffic, recording approximately 9.6 million hits at its peak.

Fans attempting to secure tickets faced lengthy wait times, with tens of thousands in virtual queues.

Mulgogi Music described the concert as featuring even more extravagant and dynamic stage production, rich sound from a captivating band session, intense dance performances by the choreography team, and a variety of never-before-seen elements.

Notably, Lim Young-woong has opted to forego seating arrangements within the stadium to prevent damage to the turf. Instead, a large LED screen will be installed in the northern section of the ground.

Mulgogi Music emphasized that the concert will showcase a high-quality performance while minimizing damage to the turf by avoiding seating on the field and featuring a protruding stage with barriers around the perimeter.

Furthermore, due to Lim Young-woong's immense popularity, advertisements for tickets priced at several million won each began appearing as soon as sales commenced. The agency responded by cracking down on such practices.

Mulgogi Musicstated, "We are making every effort to combat illegal ticket scalping," adding, "We consider such transactions disruptive to the culture and order of performances, and therefore, we are taking strong action by canceling tickets involved in illegal transactions without prior notice."

"IM HERO - THE STADIUM" is scheduled to take place at Seoul World Cup Stadium on the 25th and 26th of next month.
