SEOUL, Dec. 30 (Yonhap) -- Damian Lillard, a basketball player for the Portland Trail Blazers of the National Basketball Association (NBA), sent a message to BTS’s Suga after the K-pop supergroup’s member shared that he was supporting the NBA player.

A video of the star player Damian Lillard, sending a message to BTS’s Suga was posted on the Portland Trail Blazers official Facebook account, according to Social Network Service (SNS) on Wednesday,

Lillard mentioned the BTS member and said, “I had a chance to see your article somebody sent it to me,” adding, “I appreciate you being a fan of mine.”

Suga revealed his favorite team the Portland Trail Blazers and his favorite player Damian Lillard when asked about his current interests in an interview with Vogue Korea. “This is what I live for these days,” he replied.

Lillard said, “I don’t take it lightly to be somebody’s favorite player but when they are a fan of our team it’s something that I care so much about.”

The NBA player showed his appreciation by referring to Suga's comment ‘I prefer the underdogs to the big teams’ in the interview, and replied, “So the fact that you appreciate the things I want to accomplish means a lot to me.”

“So thank you, much love to you. I look forward to meeting you,” added the star player.

The team also released Korean subtitles on the video message.
