SEOUL, Jan. 27 (Yonhap) -- K-pop girl group i-dle will make a comeback Tuesday with the release of its new digital single "Mono" at 6 p.m., marking its first new music in eight months, its agency Cube Entertainment said.
"Mono" reduces all effects and focuses on the essence of the song, member Minnie said. She added that listeners should pay attention to its addictive melody and strong lyrics.
The track features British rapper skaiwater, marking the first time i-dle has collaborated with an external artist on a group song.
“We’re excited and looking forward to it. We hope 2026 will be a year in which we can present many performances and great music,” the group said through its agency. “We can’t wait to share this great song with Neverland. We’ve also prepared the performance with great care, so we hope fans enjoy it.”
Leader Soyeon described the song as “minimal yet distinctly i-dle in color,” adding, “Please focus on the styling and vocals that only i-dle can deliver. The lyrics are also very appealing.”
I-dle will kick off its fourth world tour, "Syncopation," with concerts on Feb. 21-22 at KSPO Dome in Seoul’s Olympic Park. The members said they are determined to present performances and stages different from their previous concerts.
“There are so many stages we want to show as soon as possible,” member Yuqi said. “We’re preparing hard, so we hope fans will wait with excitement and come enjoy the shows.”
