SEOUL, Apr. 10 (Yonhap) -- A slew of South Korean hit actors, including Jo Woo-jin, Jung Kyung-ho, Park Ji-hwan, and Lee Kyu-hyung, confirmed to star in the upcoming comedy film “Boss” and started shooting on April 6, producer Hive Media Corp. confirmed Monday.
This star-dubbed comedy action film will tell the story of Yongdu’s largest and most threatening organization ahead of electing the next boss. This action-packed flick will comically depict the confrontation between members who desperately try to give up the rather overwhelming position of boss for their dreams.
In the film, Jo will suit up as Soon-tae, who unexpectedly became the second-in-command of this organization that he inevitably entered for his Chinese restaurant that has been continued for three generations. He dreams of running his own Chinese franchise restaurant, rather than the boss.
Meanwhile, Jung and Park are also set to star as another boss candidate, Kang-pyo and Pan-ho, respectively. In the meantime, Lee has been slated to appear as Soon-tae’s henchman Tae-kyu, who also works as his Chinese restaurant’s delivery man.
Several other mega-hit comedy actors, including Oh Dal-soo, Hwang Woo-seul-hye, and Jeong Eu-gene, are also known to have confirmed to star in this highly anticipated comedy film.
Director Ra Hee-chan, who has credits for producing “Going by the Book” (2007) and “Mr. Idol” (2011), has taken the helm.
