SEOUL, July 9 (Yonhap) -- Actors Song Joong-ki and Park Ji-hyun will star together in the upcoming romantic comedy series "Love Cloud," KBS said Thursday.

 

The broadcaster said the KBS 2TV weekend miniseries is scheduled to air next year.

 

"Love Cloud" tells the story of Kang Woo-joo, an air traffic controller who can see his ex-lover's emotions as changes in the weather, and Ahn Ha-nee, a pilot cursed so that her emotions literally become the weather.

 

Song will play Kang Woo-joo, a former flight instructor who now works as an air traffic controller and witnesses the weather reflecting the emotions of his former girlfriend, Ahn Ha-nee.

 

Park will portray Ahn Ha-nee, a workaholic pilot determined to earn a promotion, whose changing moods cause the weather to shift.

 

The two actors reunite for the first time in about four years after appearing together in the 2022 JTBC drama "Reborn Rich."

 

The series also marks Song's return to a KBS drama for the first time in 11 years since the 2016 hit series "Descendants of the Sun."

 

The screenplay is written by the rookie writing team Team Mad Rabbit, while director Song Min-yup, known for "High Cookie" and "Youth of May," will helm the series.
