LOS ANGELES, Dec. 3 (Yonhap) -- K-pop megastar BTS will wrap up its first live in-person Los Angeles (LA) concert, titled "Permission To Dance On Stage - LA," in two years, on Dec. 2 (U.S. time).

BTS will perform its fourth and final performance at SoFi Stadium in LA from 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.

The septet started its non-virtual concert from Nov. 27 and held a total of three performances until Dec. 1. The number of fans per concert were estimated to record 50,000, making the total number of audience for all four performances to be 200,000.

BTS expressed their gratitude to fans by singing more than 20 hit songs, including "Butter," "Dynamite," and "Permission to Dance," at each concert, while fans holding their Army bomb light sticks embroidered the entire concert hall like a Milky Way.

In addition, popular American rapper Megan Thee Stallion shocked the audience with a surprise performance with BTS on the second concert day, and British rock band Coldplay made an appearance on BTS' third performance, further heating up the K-pop act's concert stage.

Halsey, an American singer-songwriter who featured in BTS' hit track "Boy With Luv," also drew attention by attending BTS' third concert day as a fan.

BTS also set a record of being the first artists in history to sell out tickets for four concerts at LA's SoFi Stadium.

Christy Castillo Butcher, SoFi Stadium's Senior Vice President Programming, said, "This concert recorded the most ticket sales among solo band or artist performances held at Sofi Stadium."

The BTS concerts have created a huge buzz among its global fandom Army, and tens of thousands of fans from all over the world traveled to LA by various methods of transportation to watch BTS' concert. .

Fans also explored Korean restaurants that were widely known to have been visited by BTS, with some fans even flocking to stores that sold Hallyu-related products.

As a result, commercial districts around SoFi Stadium, including Koreantown in LA, enjoyed the "BTS effect."

In a Twitter post, ahead of BTS' last performance, SoFi Stadium wrote, "Get here early! It's the final night of BTS," asking fans to arrive early due to anticipated traffic around the venue.

BTS will return back to Korea after performing at the iHeartRadio Jingle Ball Tour, the largest year-end radio show in the U.S. on Dec. 3.

Meanwhile, due to the emergence of the new omicron COVID-19 variant, BTS will have to go through self-quarantine for ten days when returning to Korea.

The government decided to place all overseas arrivals under a 10-day quarantine for two weeks starting Friday (KST), regardless of their nationalities and vaccination status, to tackle the omicron variant.
