SEOUL, Jan. 12 (Yonhap) -- 

Stray Kids clinched the album grand prize at the 40th Golden Disc Awards, powered by their full-length album “KARMA.”

 

BLACKPINK’s Jennie emerged as one of the night’s biggest winners, taking home four trophies including the artist of the year award.

 

At the awards ceremony held on Saturday in local time at Taipei Dome in Taiwan, Stray Kids won two trophies — the album grand prize and the album main prize.

 

Jennie, who received the artist of the year award, also won two trophies in the digital song main prize category, where she and BLACKPINK were both honored. She added the Global Impact Award with Prism to her haul, bringing her total to four awards.

G-Dragon won three trophies, including the digital song grand prize, the digital song main prize and the album main prize.

 

The rookie award went to groups ALLDAY PROJECT and Cortis, while the popularity award was presented to BTS member Jin and group Hearts2Hearts.
