SEOUL, July 21 (Yonhap) -- Singer John Park will release his new single "Summer Comes Back" at 6 p.m. Wednesday, his agency Music Farm Entertainment said Tuesday.

 

The song is a refreshing summer track designed to capture the vibrant energy of the season.

 

Appearing recently on singer Sung Si-kyung's YouTube channel "We'll Meet," John Park described the song as "a breezy yet beat-driven funky soul-pop track."

 

"It's a summer song that evokes a sense of retro nostalgia," he said, adding that he wrote, composed and arranged the new single.

 

He first gained recognition after finishing runner-up on Mnet's audition program "Superstar K2" in 2010 and officially debuted in 2012 with the EP "Knock."
