LOS ANGELES, Nov. 18 (Yonhap) -- K-pop superband BTS arrived in Los Angeles (LA) on Wednesday (U.S. time) for its upcoming live in-person concerts in two years.

The arrival gate at the Tom Bradley International Terminal, where BTS' flight from Korea lands at, was filled with around 100 fans waiting to see the members of BTS in person.

However, it was later found out that BTS had already left the airport through another terminal due to safety reasons, according to an official from the Los Angeles International Airport (LAX).

BTS' fans who waited more than three hours from early in the morning were disappointed to have missed a chance to see BTS, but they also could not hide their excitement of just knowing BTS had arrived in LA.

One fan, who drove all the way to LA from Mexico, waved her light stick to cheer for the K-pop act while shouting, "We purple you, BTS!"

The fan also mentioned she had bought tickets for the BTS concert, saying, "I finally get to see BTS. I'm very nervous, happy, and excited. There are no words to express all the different emotions I'm feeling."

A South Korean student studying in the U.S. said she had ran to the airport after hearing that BTS had left Korea to come to LA, adding that fans from all over the country would be gathered at the concert venue.

Fans, who have been communicating with BTS only through social media due to the COVID-19 outbreak worldwide, will be able to watch live performances of the septet's hit singles like "Butter" and "Dynamite."

BTS' series of offline concerts in LA will be held at SoFi Stadium on Nov.27 and 28, and Dec. 1 and 2.

This concert marks the first offline event for BTS to meet its global fans in more than two years since its last in-person concert at Seoul Olympic Stadium in October 2019.

Another fan living in LA expressed her feelings in meeting BTS, saying, "I'm very excited to see BTS in person on stage."

A 21-year-old fan named Andrea, who successfully secured tickets for BTS' LA concert, said, "The tickets for the concert have already been sold out," adding, "I'm so happy and proud of BTS."

Apart from fans in their teens and 20s, there were also parents who came with their daughters or newborn babies to see BTS.

After spotting officials from BTS' agency, who had traveled with BTS from Korea, fans asked if BTS had already left the airport and directly shared the news through social media.

Meanwhile, BTS will also attend the 2021 American Music Awards (AMA), where they were nominated for Artist of The Year, Favorite Duo or Group and Favorite Pop Song, held at the Microsoft Theater in LA on Nov. 21.

It will be the first time for a Korean boy band to make the cut for Artist of The Year, the grand prize of the fan-voted AMA, one of the largest music shows in the United States.

BTS will also perform a remix version of its Billboard-winning "Butter" with popular female rapper Megan Thee Stallion at the awards ceremony, which will be broadcast live on ABC.

On Nov. 23, BTS will also make an appearance on American broadcaster CBS' "The Late Late Show with James Corden" and perform one of its hit singles "Permission to Dance.

After the series of offline concerts, BTS will take the stage of this year's iHeartRadio Jingle Ball Tour, the largest year-end radio show in the United States, on Dec. 3.
