SEOUL, July 27 (Yonhap) -- Samsung Electronics is collaborating with South Korean super star BTS on the advertisement of newly releasing Galaxy Z series.

Choi Seung-eun, marketing director of MX department of Samsung Electronics and the vice president of Samsung Electronics, announced on Wednesday through the in office contribution that a new paradigm of advertising campaign “Greater” for the upcoming foldable phones will release.

Vice president Choi furthers the explanation of the campaign by adding “Advertisement featuring BTS’ ‘Yet To Come’ will be featured on New York Time Square, and more of the land marks throughout the world.”

Previously Choi Seung-eun mentioned color purple which symbolizes BTS and added “Wave of the color purple, will soon sweep the world.”

Moreover, Samsung Electronics used purple image to put on their invitations for the showcase of their latest Galaxy devices and platform which was sent out on July 20.

The advertisement featuring BTS’ “Yet To Come” will premier right after the launch of the latest Galaxy Z series on August 11 at 5 p.m. (KST).

Samsung Electronics will showcase their latest devices through “Samsung Galaxy Unpacked 2022: Unfold Your World” through online and offline event on August 10.

Samsung did not disclose what kind of products they will showcase during the event but Galaxy Z Fold 4, Galaxy Z Flip 4, new watch and more are expected to be presented.

After the event on August 10, Samsung Electronics will open a popup store where customers will be able to have on hand experience with the devices in New York and in London to starting in August 11 through August 31.

Samsung Electronics are planning on coming out with a purple Galaxy S22.

According to Samsung Electronics, “Korean word ‘Bora’ which stands for purple mixed with the English word purple, ‘Bora Purple’ will be used globally” adding “Bora Purple Galaxy S22” will be available starting on August 10, throughout the world.

The price of “Bora Purple Galaxy S22” will be set at 999,900 won.
